Alison L. Randall

Alison knew she wanted to be an author when she was nine years old. She grabbed a stack of paper, stapled it down the spine, and announced to her older brother that she was going to write a book. She's been writing ever since.

Many of Alison's published stories are based on her rich family history--tales about her grandfather and his mischievous cousin or stories her grandmother told about her young life. The Wheat Doll is also based on a real event, but it was a friend's ancestor, not Alison's, who experienced the amazing surprise that inspired Alison (with her friend's permission) to write that book.

Alison has a BA in French from Brigham Young University and an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. When she's not writing, she likes to travel, hike, try out new recipes, and play games with her family.
